Community Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) consist of citizens who are trained to take care of themselves and their families first, then help others in their community immediately following disasters.

The program is offered to citizens who desire the skills and knowledge required to prepare for and respond to disasters. The program consists of 32 hours of training typically held over nine weeks. Classes are taught by emergency responders from our community.

If you would like to attend the next CERT Basic Training we would love to have you! Please monitor this page, or any of NC Emergency Management's social media accounts, for announcements regarding our next Basic Training Course.
