How to become a Master Gardener

So You Want to Be a Master Gardener? You can become a Master Gardener if you are interested in learning about plants and gardening, willing to provide forty hours of volunteer service to the community and helping others know how to grow.

The Master Gardener training program expands your knowledge of plants and their environment, provides hand-on experience as well as an opportunity to help others with their questions and problems. Your experience not only will be rewarding, but you will also gain a huge family of friends along the way.

Classes will begin on the 26th of October 2022-2023. Classes are held:
  • Wednesdays from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Saturdays from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Those wishing to apply for the training are encouraged to contact the Extension office until October 7th and add their names to our waiting list for the class. Applicants are required to attend an interview prior to the new course starting. Classes typically take place at the Agricultural Resource and Learning Center (ARLC) at 2011 Fairgrounds Road. The class fee for Master Gardener Training is $200.00 and is due one week prior to the first class. Checks are to be made payable to the UW Extension of Natrona County.
